Urination frequency
A healthy adult who is getting enough water should be urinating six or seven times a day. That number can vary but if you saw that number and thought it looked high, you’re probably not drinking enough. Lack of water can be hard on the kidneys which filter the blood.
Hunger
How many times had a meal and then you feel hungry again shortly after? Chances are you’re dehydrated It’s easy to confuse hunger and thirst. They’re similar communications that the body sends to the brain. Next time you’re feeling peckish after dinner, dry having a glass of water instead.
Urine color
Urine is a good barometer of how hydrated you are. The darker the urine, the more water you should be drinking. Don’t go and pound down four glasses of water if you happen to have dark urine, but slowly rehydrate yourself.
