Foods You Should Eat For Clear, Healthy Skin
We all want to put our best face—literally—forward. But when skin troubles get in the way, they can undermine how you think and feel about yourself, especially out in public.
What’s interesting about many skin disorders is how prevalent they are in Western countries—and how other geographic locales are nearly free of disorders such as acne. The differentiating factors, researchers have found, is what we’re eating—and what they’re not.
For example, start with the basics like fruits and vegetables. Those societies that include more of these in their diets also have more vitamins, nutrients, and skin-healing antioxidants. That’s also the case with fish: It’s heavy in omega-3s and omega-6 nutrients, which help to reduce inflammation.
